Week 0: The Year of Rae

The title of this post was inspired by Happy Endings, a not so well-known tv show that sadly got cancelled. Penny, one of the characters in Happy Endings, declared the year when she would get her life together as The Year of Penny.

That’s kind of what I want to happen this year. I’ll be making deliberate changes and I’ll document them in this blog. I know we’re already in the 2nd quarter, not even the first day of April, but I’m not going to wait ‘til 2018 to do this. I guess this is what making-resolutions-any-day-of-the-year looks like.

The plan is to start a habit every week that I could hopefully continue on. I understand that some habits are more difficult to build and might take more than a week develop. If I find that to be the case, I won’t attempt starting a new habit the following week. I’ll just play it by ear and see where it goes. I’m not very good at following through with personal projects so please hope for the best.

Week 1 (Exercise Daily) already started last Sunday. Every day so far is a struggle for me to get up and exercise. It’s only been 3 days and I feel like I’m dying. Even lifting a glass of water hurts! I think I overexerted myself. I’ll post an update next week.

    1. Hahaha, yes! Also, it helps to hear from people who have things in their lives that take precedence over working out. Seriously can’t spend 1.5 hours a day exercising. I don’t have that luxury. Working out isn’t my goal, it’s just a means for me to be better equipped in life in general.

    I need to get back to exercising too haha. I just take as being sore as a step in the right direction.

  2. I started a new habit myself — cooking. Ang saya, in fairness. Anyway, hopefully matuloy tuloy mo ang exercise. I could never. It just hurts too much.
