I skipped on Day 3 because my skin looked dry. There was a thin onion skin-like film on my face and if it were any drier, I’m pretty sure the film would turn into flakes.

I used it again on Day 4 and I think I sprayed a little too much product because I experienced the stinging-itching sensation again, similar to Day 1.

On Day 5, that’s when I saw 3 to 4 inflamed pimples (no pus), and a lot of tiny bumps on my forehead that looked like they’re going to erupt anytime soon (they didn’t). Thankfully their sizes were negligible and they weren’t red.

I skipped on Day 6, resumed on Day 7, and haven’t used it again as of this post. I went back to my previous skin care routine this week so my skin could recover from the breakout and dryness.

I could not have picked a worse time when I started using the skin purifier.

Last week, the air was (and still is) drier due to the northeast wind, I was not having enough sleep, I ate a little too much dairy and seafood, and I had my period.

In other words, I don’t think that the breakout I experienced in Week One could be attributable solely to maxi-peel skin purifier.

But I noticed that my skin felt uber smooth on areas where there were no bumps. There was no significant change in the appearance of pores and fine lines.

I’ll attempt to use this again next week. I’ll try to use it twice a day as suggested on the package.

Hi, I’m Rae and I am a scatterbrain. I am in my 30s and I write in this blog from the Philippines. I spend a tiny portion of my time de-stressing with makeup and skin care. Email: | Instagram: @scatterbraintures

  1. I used this and it made my face red … Oh no but it feels good. I don’t think I want to use it everyday though.

  2. This is scary stuff. I think if it peels, they should definitely state that. I have dry skin but if I hadn’t looked properly into this, I coulda been a disaster waiting to happen. Fuck sobrang dami niyang acid ingredients!!!

  3. Yikes. I was hoping that this would be effective because I really need to find a better and faster way to get rid of my dark acne marks and also help purify the skin from all the things that cause my blackheads all over the face (I want an affordable one too haha). I’m still curious though if that would work on me. :P

  4. still scared. ahahaha by the way I have a small tub of laneige water sleeping pack, like?

      • Oh SK2 I hope there wouldn’t be any weird reaction with Laneige…if you’re still interested the sleeping pack let me know

  5. Yung other maxipeel ba can minimize big pores? Or can you recommend any product para dun? Gusto ko magtry kaso ayaw ni bf kaya for him sige dibale na lang. :)

    • Hindi din, haha, but the pores look cleaner (if that makes sense) and less congested.

I’ve given up on pores. If you check my recent post (the sophie koshize one), my pores are obvious :P But they seem less visible when even-toned yung skin, moisturized, and walang blackheads.

What do you think?
