When I was a kid, I thought 30 was old — the type of old where my life is pretty much over. Now that I’m almost 30, I don’t feel the same way. I feel like life is just beginning. I’m independent now. I can handle my emotions better. I don’t feel as awkward around strangers. I feel an overall sense of confidence and empowerment that I never thought I’d feel. Best of all, I know me. These are what I like about getting old.
What I like best about getting old is getting wiser and better in a lot of things that I do. – Claire P.
What i like best about getting old.. is that despite all the hardship and trials that have past.. im still strong enough to continue my life.. all of this for my little bundle of joy =) she’s the perfect gift that God has given me.. im not afraid of getting older either, if i had my lovely daughter by my side throughout my life journey =) – Rhaindropz
Truth is I don’t really like getting old, given that I feel more like a hyperactive 10-year-old or an angst-y 16-teenager on any given time. But if there is one thing I like about advancing through my years, it’s watching as my daughter grows and develops into her own person. It’s just an amazing feeling, witnessing her milestones and cheering her on for more. :) – Blackshirt13
What I like most about getting old: As I mature, I develop more insight and understanding of the things around me. I am happier now that I have a better understanding of the things I used to be impatient about, such as my parents’ decisions, life and relationships. – Beauty by Tellie
I like being old. It has set me free and I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. – Mira

i like getting old because i love celebrating birthdays. its one of those times when i get to appreciate how lucky i am that i was able to survive my previous years. receiving gifts from people dear to me doesnt hurt too. so thats why i love getting older, its like a badge that says i survived life. – Katrina
