I wasn’t supposed to do this but considering how much it is priced, a before and after post is in order. A 30 ml. bottle costs Php 5,650 — and with that price tag, I want hard evidence that it works.
I’m lucky to get a sample for free (save for shipping fee) coz I’m one hundred percent sure I won’t buy this even if I end up liking it. Sorry Shiseido (but I do repurchase some of your other products).

Intensive Targeting Serum
If you take a quick look my skin already seems even-toned. My skin has been behaving well the past months and my post-acne pigmentation marks are down to the best it’s had my whole life.
Here’s half of my face right after washing and applying the serum for the first time.
Say hello to my 29.75 year-old face sans makeup.
The serum is supposed to crush melanin to reduce spots and prevent future pigmentation. To be honest, I’m not sure if I’m comfortable with the idea of my melanin getting crushed. I love my brown skin, I just don’t like how uneven it easily gets sometimes.
Here’s my skin upon closer inspection. As you can tell, I don’t have serious dark spots that need major improvement. So I expect that my skin will be perfectly even-toned by the end of 7 days.
Considering that the serum costs more than most chemical peels, I believe that that’s not an unreasonably high expectation.
I’ll see you again in 7 days.
