Random Ramblings

My Top 3 Favorite Bra Brands for Daily Wear

Few people know how much I love lingerie. Seriously, I do. I love lingerie more than I love clothes, makeup, and skin care. The number of clothes, makeup, and skin care stuff I have is a mere fraction of my undergarments collection.

For now, I’ll write about my top 3 most reliable and time-tested bra brands. Note: My mom did teach me that I should not display my undergarments for the world to see, but for purposes of demonstration, I’m showing actual photos.

Let’s proceed.

First on the list is…

La Senza

This is my go to brand for cute and non-boring pairs that are wearable under a baby tee.  My oldest pair is 4 years old  (see photo).  So far, no bacon band, no bacon straps, no discoloration, and no distorted cups.

Second in the list is…

Marks & Spencer

Of all the brands I tried, those from M&S have the perfect-est cup and the most comfortable fit.  It’s like the bra was custom-made for me.  Even their wired ones are very comfortable.  My oldest pair is 7 years old.  As you can see in the photo, the cups are still symmetrical and the straps are not baconified yet. The band lost a little elasticity but it can still hold my bo*bs with flying colors.  For a 7-year old bra, that’s not bad.

Last is…

Hanes

This is a recent favorite.  I bought my first pair roughly 2 years ago.  Hanes has a bra line with state-of-the-art CONCEALING PETALS.  This idea is genius!  If you want a bra that has thin padding, doesn’t make your bo*bs look bigger, but can still hide your ni*ples–Hanes is hands down the best ni*ple-concealing bra there is.  There’s no need for ni*ple tape or silicone rubbery what-you-call-thems.

Do you see it?

If I’d have to choose which is best, it would be a tough choice between M&S and Hanes.  M&S has been there for me through thick and thin. But it won’t be fair for Hanes to be placed second for its high-tech concealing feature.  Plus, it’s 2 to 4 times as cheap as M&S.  For now, I’d have to say it’s a tie.

I think I like these brands because they offer pairs that have very thin pads that don’t make my breasts look exorbitantly large and fake. But despite the thinness, none of them make me look like I’m on my way to a white t-shirt contest.  The best part is, I’ve washed all of them several times in an automatic washing machine–on hand wash mode and spin dry on.  Til now, the wires and cups are in tip top shape.

  1. Hi!! It was nice seeing your blog and been reading your posts now! ANyways I can not reply on your comment on my blog post so dito na lang.. yes, the aido putti was not specifically mentioned that it can be used as falsies adhesive hehe I was one of those people na naniniwala sa SA.. hehe Thanks and Godbless

  2. I love La Senza too (Double Push Up for a flat wat like me! LOL) but Ive discovered M&S when they had a sale once and all that was left were big sizes! I like their designs and they felt comfy to wear too :) Now I look out for their sales na!

  3. I love La Senza but I have a hard time finding unpadded bras from them. It's exasperating. Ang cute pa naman ng designs. Marks and Spencer and Debenhams are my go-to brands. Would love to try Hanes.

  4. Hmmm.. looks like I'm convinced to try Hanes. You know, I love lingerie too esp. the colorful ones. I seldom pay a lot for my undies though. So far, the most expensive is from Victoria's Secret.

  5. Try the M&S ones. I saw sizes as small as 30AA when I last shopped. I checked their website too, their smallest size is 28A :)

La Senza's smallest is 32B.  In the US, they have The Little Bra Company, I don't know if they have that there in Singapore.

  6. lol, I'm someone who needs help choosing bras 'cause i have no idea what's good and not. my only requirement is for them to fit 'cause, erm, it's rare for me to be able to fill a cup.

  7. Pareho tayo ng washer? Ang galing!!!

Anyway, that's where I take my photos :P Sa ibabaw ng washing machine na yan. :D

  8. I never knew about the concealing petals! I should check out Hanes for bras and not just panties! :)

Oi… familiar yung automatic washing machine sa photo, hehe. Good to know it does not get deformed @ handwash+spin mode.

  9. I'm glad to be of help. If you really want comfortable ones, I suggest M&S. Pero pricy. Talagang pinag-iipunan ko pa just so I can buy a pair. Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless handheld

  10. THANK YOU FOR THIS POST!!! I've been looking for comfortable bras for the longest time, but can't seem to find the right brand for me. I'll definitely try your suggestions.

    Here's my Valentine's post. Enjoy!
