Few people know how much I love lingerie. Seriously, I do. I love lingerie more than I love clothes, makeup, and skin care. The number of clothes, makeup, and skin care stuff I have is a mere fraction of my undergarments collection.
For now, I’ll write about my top 3 most reliable and time-tested bra brands. Note: My mom did teach me that I should not display my undergarments for the world to see, but for purposes of demonstration, I’m showing actual photos.
First on the list is…
This is my go to brand for cute and non-boring pairs that are wearable under a baby tee. My oldest pair is 4 years old (see photo). So far, no bacon band, no bacon straps, no discoloration, and no distorted cups.
Second in the list is…
Marks and Spencer
Of all the brands I tried, those from M&S have the perfect-est cup and the most comfortable fit. It’s like the bra was custom-made for me. Even their wired ones are very comfortable. My oldest pair is 7 years old. As you can see in the photo, the cups are still symmetrical and the straps are not baconified yet. The band lost a little elasticity but it can still hold my bo*bs with flying colors. For a 7-year old bra, that’s not bad.
This is a recent favorite. I bought my first pair roughly 2 years ago. Hanes has a bra line with state-of-the-art CONCEALING PETALS. This idea is genius! If you want a bra that has thin padding, doesn’t make your bo*bs look bigger, but can still hide your ni*ples–Hanes is hands down the best ni*ple-concealing bra there is. There’s no need for ni*ple tape or silicone rubbery what-you-call-thems.
If I’d have to choose which is best, it would be a tough choice between M&S and Hanes. M&S has been there for me through thick and thin, but it won’t be fair for Hanes to be placed second for its ‘high-tech’ concealing feature. Plus, it’s 2 to 4 times as cheap as M&S. For now, I’d have to say it’s a tie. I think I like these brands because they offer pairs that have very thin pads that don’t make my breasts look exorbitantly large and fake. But despite the thinness, none of them make me look like I’m on my way to a white t-shirt contest. The best part is, I’ve washed all of them several times in an automatic washing machine–on hand wash mode and spin dry on. Til now, the wires and cups are in tip top shape.
