I was on my way to lunch with my workmates when my shoes literally fell apart. It’s a good thing I work near a mall coz I had to walk barefoot (yes, really) to shop for a replacement.
It was a great experience walking barefoot at a mall. I realized that no one really cares about how I look like. I didn’t catch anyone staring at my feet (maybe I just didn’t catch ’em). But I guess it’s true when they said: “Nobody’s really watching you–they’re too busy minding their own business.”
Since I don’t want to take too long walking around barefooted, the first and only store I went to was Charles and Keith. Their shoes are wide feet-friendly and they always have a wide variety of colors and styles to choose from.
As soon as I entered the store, I couldn’t believe what I saw–the kind of flat shoes I’ve been looking for.
It looks too tan in the website photo. But here’s how it really looks like.
I like how yellow-toned it is. Most nude flats I see are beige/ pink-toned.
I like that it doesn’t look too casual and ballet-flatsy.
It’s comfortable enough but needs a few days of breaking in. I wear it with jeans, slacks, and skirts. It’s more versatile than the black flats I used to own. I like it so much I was tempted to buy a back-up pair coz they change every new season.
But NO, I’m trying to stay within my 6-pairs-of-shoes-at-a-time rule.
